A native of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, François put on his first skis at the age of three and started competing at an early age. After competing in the Alpine Skiing World Cup, he turned to ski cross, where he has won three world medals, including a GOLD medal and the title of world champion in 2019 in Park City. His status as a top-level sportsman has enabled him to obtain his instructor's diploma.

During summer, François enjoys playing golf and football, and mountain biking in the mountains.

His favourite slope is the mythic Eclipse.
