Mathieu, originally from central-eastern France, dreamed of becoming a mountain rescuer when he was younger, but ultimately decided to become a ski instructor. Trained at UCPA, he has been teaching downhill skiing, snowboarding and ski touring since winter 2012.

Off the slopes, he divides his time between his job as a carpenter and his family life. An attentive father, he enjoys hiking, gardening, DIY and spending quality time with his loved ones.
