Julien, originally from Paris, discovered skiing at the age of 21 months, inspired by his father's passion for the mountains. Every holiday was synonymous with skiing and lessons with the ESF.
At the age of 12, Julien joined the Arêches club to start competing, before joining the French Junior Relève team at the age of 18.
A high-level competitor, he excelled in FIS (International Ski and Snowboard Federation) races and participated in several European Cups. Among his best performances, he achieved 15 FIS points in slalom (96th in the world) and 20 FIS points in giant slalom (120th in the world). These results enabled him to obtain his BEES (Brevet d'État d'Éducateur Sportif) 1st degree thanks to his status as a high-level athlete, then to validate his BEES 2nd degree in alpine skiing and physical preparation.
Always eager for new challenges, Julien also pursues a career in elite road cycling. Today, he teaches alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing and ski jumping. He is also an instructor at the ENSA (National Ski and Mountaineering School), passing on his knowledge to future mountain professionals.
His favourite slope? L'Éclipse.
Off the slopes, he enjoys mountain running, road cycling, mountain biking and swimming. Skiing remains a passion that he enjoys for himself, particularly slalom. But what he enjoys most of all is sharing every moment of sport with others. In the summer, he never says no to a good barbecue with friends.
